Retire ACP/Hermes/OpenCode surfaces and rename hermes_tools to
mnote_agent_tools so Page AI stays on Pi Lab only. Add Chrome vault
extension + extension token route, pre-release purge design, and soft-retire
legacy smokes for the small-group production cut.
Land password-vault dedicated workbench and mnote-vault-core/CLI, agent token
read path design, vault transport split, and retire obsolete filetree smokes.
Ignore local vault reimport scripts that trip secret scanners.
Persist PageTree expand state via control-plane view-state and align
chevron/DOM with restored expansion; keep Sidex-style shallow page-tree
scan and drop the unused recursive scanner that only added cargo noise.
Add password vault workbench routes/runtime/skill/CLI, split page_ai_pi
into a module package, and retire Hermes/ACP/OpenHub recycle + root
harness evidence from the index while gitignoring recycle and local
diag dumps.
Archive superseded design/bugs docs under old/, point architecture at
ARCHITECTURE.md, and refresh smokes for Pi S1–S7, vault, and editor
regressions so the working tree can stay clean.
Root cause: every local resource preview tab kept its own /api/local-folder/events EventSource alive. Hidden PDF and Office tabs consumed browser same-origin connection slots, so later preview iframes/file reads stalled and rendered as blank pages.
Changes:
- keep passive resource file watching active-tab only
- close inactive resource-tab EventSources on tab activation and release
- update the bug record with the PDF fifth-open and XLSX fourth-open repro and verification

- keep PDF preview at 2x rendering while removing the previous lazy-load/placeholder direction, and make dev:hot bind loopback defaults externally reachable
